Getting to know Savannah

I did a 'Getting to know Rocco' post, and so I thought, now I've had her for a few days, I would do one for Savannah :-)

Name: Savannah Sahara

Nickname: Banana, because she is yellow (gold, but still..)

Gender: Female (we are 80% sure!)

Food: Same as Rocco, although at the moment she has only had Crested Gecko Diet. Sadly, I missed her first feed yesterday, although Mum and Dad said it was INCREDIBLE. Apparently she ate 10 times the amount of it that Rocco ever has, and she was taking big bites out of it rather than little licks. Mum thinks that she might not have gotten enough food at the pet store, and it might be why she is so small for her age.

Birthday: We actually know this! We don't know Rocco's! She was born on the 3rd of March 2013 :-)

Favourite treat: Unknown as of yet, but she seemed to ADORE the Crested Gecko Diet. We are trying baby food on her tomorrow, and I will post pictures and videos of this for you. :-)

Current length: about 4.5 inches (nose to tail!)

Colour and markings: I don't know why I did this section for Rocco, because clearly you can see his colour and markings in the photographs.. BUT. Savannah is a harlequin. Not an extreme harlequin - she is very subtly marked and extremely delicate. She has much less spontaneity than Rocco, and my partner Jack commented earlier today on how symmetrical she is. She has very few dalmatian spots. She is gold with bright yellow crests and orange 'eye-lashes'. She has a brown patch by her left eye, and a very light tail.

Vivarium size: Same as Rocco's obviously: 18" by 18" by 12". Sadly she shared a much smaller vivarium at the store with 4 other cresties. I think she likes the space.

Favourite place: She is much better at hiding than Rocco. Rocco will fall asleep wherever you place him, whereas Savannah will crawl around until she finds the perfect hidden spot and camouflage herself. She usually curls into a ball or wraps her limbs and tail around a branch or vine. Her favourite place tends to be the plant at the front of the vivarium. She will hide under the leaves and wrap everything around the vine that goes through it. She loves to be cuddled up to Rocco when she sleeps, although I think Rocco enjoys this more.

Likes: So far, we have found that Savannah likes: hiding, CGD, cuddling Rocco, having lots of space, climbing on Rocco, and jumping!

Dislikes: So far, we have found that Savannah dislikes: being climbed on by Rocco, lots of loud noise or sudden movements, bright lights, being in an open space.
